The project design brief: create high traffic site for alternative therapy to support product sales
The client has a sales site built on a basic ecommerce platform that delivers a steady stream of sales. The existing site is so configured that it needs steady and costly support from Adwords and other SEM techniques. The brief was to build a website environment complimentary to the product and support it with relevant searchable information, outgoing links and massage videos. The product for sale was to be present but not pressure sold.
Our solution
Internet Assets Ltd designers built a dramatic website from the ground up. The site has a unique layout that entices the visitor to delve deeper into the site and discover more about the subject matter in a friendly informative way. The site is built on the very SE friendly WordPress platform that allows visitor interaction with the site through a bulletin board, article submission and directory listings. All the key subjects associated with Massge Therapy (Spas, Courses,Therapist Practitioners) are included in the site to expose as wide an audience as possible to the products that are ultimately for sale through a custom built Presta Shop platform. The site offers free directory listings and offers enhancement for a return link.
Outcome
The site is growing in stature and visits are generating sales through the Presta Shop engine. The Ecommerce epdq card sales module was opened on 1 March 2010 and the first sale took place that day. Work is continuing to get the site rank up using organic linking and other ethical SEO techniques. Visitors are making directory listings in all sections and the reach is now beyond the UK.
